guest comments

each month we’re adding a small selection of comments from guests who’ve written in to us to tell us about their stay at grey street hotel. this should act as a review for future guests rather than some sites which can have comments added from bogus guests.  we’re not just putting the great stuff here, the good the bad and the ugly too from a selection of recent comments.

if you do not wish for your comment to be published on the website please make the manager aware at the time of writing in or sending us your comment card.  manager@greystreethotel.com

Overall the hotel was outstanding, the staff very friendly and rooms very good – Mr McCarry – October 08

I was very impressed with my stay here and will definitely stay again. However, a cheaper breakfast and free parking is desirable – Danielle Bunting – October 08

Reception staff are very friendly and helpful, room service was very friendly and prompt – Ben Kingsmill – November 08

Greeted very warmly from reception, very polite and accommodating. Staff were exceptional, worked very hard. Faulty light but it did not distract from what was a lovely room – Stephen Whittam – November 08

Amazing weekend stay – Natalie Lillie – November 08

Not very clear as to where hotel is situated – Leanne Smith – November 08

Really nice room double deluxe. After reading the other reviews I was a bit unsure what to expect. the room was quiet and comfortable really nice bed and the DVD player was a nice touch. My only criticism would be that there were no biscuits provided on the tea tray! Aside from that will be back to stay again.

Triple glazed so no problem with noise, bed very soft but i prefer a firm one, nice location well worth the money

We did fill in a review and left it with Reception when we left. However, we found our room comfortable and fairly quiet considering its location. When, ridiculously, we couldn't find out how to turn on the shower, someone quickly came to help.
We thought that a good, well lit make-up/shaving mirror would have been helpful and also some plain net curtains would have made us feel less exposed. I know there were thick curtains but one does not always want to draw them during the day.
